FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What should I wear?
We are more concerned with real life issues than we are with what you are wearing. So please dress casually and you will feel right at home with the rest of our church family.
Should I plan to participate in the offering?
It's up to you. We feel like financial giving is the responsibility of our members and regular attenders, however if you would like to give you are welcome to. We would love for you to fill out a connection card during our time of giving. They can be found in the seat-back in front of you.
What about my kids?
On Sunday mornings during the service we encourage all ages to participate in a time of corporate worship. Then, we take a ten minute break for our kids to make their way to programming designed especially for them. We have CompassKids environments for kids birth–6th grade. We believe that kids and students are not just the future of the church but are part of the church now. Junior High and High School students participate in our Sunday morning worship gathering as well as small groups—or as we call them, missional communities (MC's)—that meet on Sunday evening.
How can I meet people at Compass?
Outside of people being genuinely nice to you at our worship gatherings, there are at least three ways for you to get connected relationally on a regular basis. Our missional communities (MCs), which are our in-home gatherings, or our Discovering Church Membership Class offered quarterly for people interested in knowing more about who we are as well as giving us an opportunity to get to know you. You can also email, call, text, or message a member of our staff at anytime.
